Kathryn McGeary is an emerging fine art photographer whose work explores the intersections of nature, memory and emotion through analogue and alternative photographic processes. Drawing inspiration from historical techniques, she seeks to create evocative images that blur the boundaries between photography and painting. Her work is characterised by its ethereal quality, blending conceptual depth with experimental approaches to light and texture. Through this process, she invites viewers to pause and reflect on themes of impermanence and quiet resilience, capturing the transient beauty and vulnerability of the natural world.
Kathryn is currently completing a BA in Photography having also studied at the London Institute of Photography and Morley College for the Creative Arts. She has already gained recognition for her innovative vision, twice being named a finalist for the prestigious AOP Student Award. Her photography has been showcased in galleries both nationally and internationally and has featured in publications celebrating contemporary fine art practices.
