Reclaiming Eden ii - The Radiant Garden

A further exploration of the delicate tension between beauty and impermanence through the vibrant yet fleeting existence of dying flowers. Using colour film and controlled studio lighting, these decaying blooms are imbued with a new life. Their fading forms are transformed into luminous portraits, offering a meditation on the fragility of nature and the passing of time. The bold, saturated tones stand in contrast to the flowers' inevitable decline, creating a paradox where decay becomes a celebration of life. By presenting dying flowers - often discarded - as objects of wonder and dignity, these images aim to challenge traditional notions of beauty and to emphasise that even in decline, there is grace, vibrancy and resilience.
